BBC BROADCASTING
During the 1930’s, Guirne Creith’s compositions were frequently performed on BBC radio (on the ‘Wireless’ as it was then known). She also gave Piano recitals for the BBC.

At this time the Royal Academy of Music used to publish an Annual which highlighted the activities, specifically on the BBC, of former Alumni. This is a page from the Annual of 1935. Guirne Creith’s compositions were being performed by the BBC alongside such other famous 20th century composers as William Alwyn, Arthur Bliss, Arnold Bax, Eric Coates and Sir Edward German.
